[info]tommx applauded my new userphoto; for the record, it’s a shot taken by my computer camera last November. I always look better in greyscale, for some reason. And after a mild Photoshop filter to blend the skin tones. <cough>

I just wish I could turn off the per-entry photos on my own LJ; it’s already getting a bit repetitive.

Is this what you mean? Start with the customize theme page and look for an option that allows you to say "No" to "show userpics on entries."

Most of us look better in greyscale, but I find your visage pleasing in color, and moreso in person for that matter.

To turn off per-entry pictures, go to userpics, and select the option "no default picture". I think that should do it.
